Carrying Pillion passengers,

Just passed your test? Want to get on the open road and carry a pillion passenger for the first time? It might be worth getting a few words of advice from one of our trainers first. When you carry a pillion passenger their life is in your hands so if you get it wrong you'r not the only one who is going to get hurt!

We can give you advice on:

•  The correct level of protective clothing
•  The minimum age /size of passengers
•  Correct seating position and security of pillion
•  The correct foot pegs and hand rails
•  Action in the event of an accident or breakdown
•  The use of communication equipment rider to passenger

Practical training in:

•  Mounting and dismounting
•  Correct seating position and holding on
•  Action by rider and pillion on accelerating , braking, cornering, riding in slow moving traffic, filtering.

Now that you have your full licence you can venture onto motorways.
